For the third year in a row, Street Food Cinema, in collaboration with Hurwitz Concerts and Lionsgate, presents LA LA LAND IN CONCERT. The event takes place on two dates, Saturday, September 20th and Sunday, September 21, at the Los Angeles State Historic Park in beautiful downtown Los Angeles. In a live-to-film experience with a 53-piece symphony orchestra and jazz band, composer Justin Hurwitz will conduct his Oscar®-winning film score as well as the Oscar®-winning song “City of Stars” written by Benj Pasek, Justin Paul and Justin Hurwitz. LA LA LAND, the Lionsgate film written and directed by Damien Chazelle, grossed nearly $450 million at the worldwide box office, earning 14 Academy Award® nominations and winning six Oscars®, including an Oscar® for Chazelle as Best Director.
"Damien made a beautiful tribute to Los Angeles with LA LA LAND,” said composer Justin Hurwitz. “And I'm so excited that this event is now a yearly tradition, this being my third year conducting the score with a live orchestra in downtown LA."
The third annual celebration returns to the iconic Los Angeles State Historic Park, offering sweeping views of the Los Angeles skyline as the perfect cinematic backdrop. Guests can indulge in a curated selection of gourmet fare from a variety of LA’s best food trucks and local vendors—full lineup to be revealed soon. A lively menu of themed cocktails will be served at the full bar, adding a spirited twist to the evening. For those seeking an elevated experience, reserved seating includes the option to preorder premium bottle service, artisanal charcuterie boards, and upscale culinary delights.
Film critic Scott Mantz will serve as the emcee, guiding the night’s events with his industry insight and enthusiasm. Each night, guests will have a chance to appear on the big screen during the Mia Costume Contest featuring guests wearing Mia’s famous yellow dress, with Mantz selecting the winner.
In a nod to the film’s legacy, original props and costumes will be on display throughout the venue, offering fans the perfect opportunity to step into the world of the movie and capture unforgettable moments. Themed photo ops and official merchandise, including signed vinyls and posters, will also be available to guests, rounding out the experience for collectors and casual fans alike.
Over 10,000 guests attended last year’s sold-out event. Organizers expect the same enthusiasm to celebrate this year’s grand show. Tickets are on sale now via streetfoodcinema.com.
